Recapping the 2025 college volleyball transfer portal

Biggest women's volleyball transfers for the 2025 season, so far

The transfer portal has been busy this offseason. Let’s highlight some of the top transfers and schools with the biggest pickups.

🏐 MORE WOMEN'S COLLEGE VOLLEYBALL 🏐

1. Texas

Texas got one of the biggest names in the portal in Torrey Stafford. The 2x All-American outside hitter from Pitt will make a massive impact as the Longhorns are now without Madisen Skinner.

Stafford joins Ramsey Gary and Anja Kujundzic, two incredibly talented liberos that should make for an insane backcourt defense with Emma Halter.

2. SMU

SMU got another big-time facelift out of the transfer portal. Favor Anyanwu and Jadyn Livings both transferred in from USC.

Averi Carlson should be the starting setter after playing at Texas last year and Baylor before that. SMU also picked up Jordyn Schilling, the Big South Libero of the year.

3. Nebraska

Allie Sczech transferred from Baylor to Nebraska. The opposite hitter will compete for a spot in the lineup with the departure of Merritt Beason.

4. Kentucky

Kentucky got some significant pickups. Another one of the premiere names in the portal, Eva Hudson, led the Big Ten in 2024 with 4.81 kills per set. Hudson also won Big Ten Freshman of the Year in 23 at Purdue. She will join Brooklyn DeLeye for an insane outside hitter duo.

The Wildcats also picked up Hudson’s former teammate, opposite Lizzie Carr. As well as a libero from Marquette, Molly Berezowitz.

5. Wisconsin

Wisconsin got three huge names out of the portal: Grace Lopez, Mimi Colyer and Grace Egan. Colyer was the AVCA National Freshman of the Year at Oregon her first season and still has two years of eligibility.

Grace Lopez is a sophomore opposite who had a breakout freshman season at Miami, averaging over four kills per set.

Grace Egan played at Ohio State last season, where she had a season-high 22 kills against Wisconsin. All three will now wear Badger Uniforms.

6. Louisville

I’ve got a few more big ones to know. Chloe Chicoine transferred from Purdue to Louisville, a great pickup after the departure of Anna DeBeer and Charitie Luper.

7. Arizona State

Three transfers are headed to Arizona State. Former Cincinnati libero Faith Frame, along with Colby Neal and Noemie Glover from Oregon, a middle and opposite.

8. Florida

Florida got two big pickups: Flormarie Heredia Colon from Miami and Jordyn Byrd from Texas.

Libero transfers out of Wisconsin: There are two more Libero transfers to know: Gülce Güçtekin went from Wisconsin to Tennessee. Saige Damrow went from Wisconsin to Creighton.

More names to note: Emmi Sellman to Penn State, Phekran Kong and Maggie Li to UCLA, Caylen Alexander to Missouri, Lourdès Myers to Minnesota, Emery Dupes to Pittsburgh, and many more.
