2024 NCAA DI men's and women's singles and doubles tennis championships: Brackets, final results

Match point: UNC wins its first NCAA women's tennis championship

The 2024 NCAA DI men’s and women’s singles and doubles tennis championships ended Sunday, Nov. 24 with two singles champions and two doubles pairs winning national titles. Beginning this year, individual competitions occured in the fall rather than the spring season. It's the start of a two-year pilot program, with team championships remaining in the spring.

Michael Zheng of Columbia and Dasha Vidmanova of Georgia captured the men's and women's singles championship, respectively. TCU's Pedro Vives Marcos and Lui Maxted earned the men's doubles championship while Virginia's Elaine Chervinsky and Melodie Collard won women's doubles. Participants for the singles and doubles championships were announced on Monday, Nov. 11:

Singles and doubles brackets were then revealed on Saturday, Nov. 16 on NCAA.com. The individuals competed in 64-player singles and 32-team doubles tournaments, with Baylor's Hurd Tennis Center as the hosting site.

Men's singles champion: Michael Zheng, Columbia (def. Michigan State’s Ozan Baris, 6-2, 4-6, 6-2)

Women's singles champion: Dasha Vidmanova, Georgia (def. Auburn's DJ Bennett, 6-3, 6-3)

Men's doubles champions: Pedro Vives Marcos/Lui Maxted, TCU (def. Michigan's Gavin Young/Benjamin Kittay, 6-3, 6-7, 1-0)

Women's doubles champions: Elaine Chervinsky/Melodie Collard, Virginia (def. UCLA's Kate Fakih/Olivia Center, 4-6, 6-3, 1-0)
